de Young Museum Re-opens this October
This October 15th, the de Young Museum reopens in a landmark new museum building that seamlessly integrates art, architecture, and nature into the landsape of San Francisco's Gold Gate Park. With a groundbreaking design by Pritzker prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron and landscape architect Walter Hood, the new de Young presents the museum's diverse collections in striking new spaces that create dramatic interplay throughout the new building and its park setting.
Attend a special Opening Ceremony on Saturday, October 15th from 10:00am - 12:00pm, which includes speakers and ribbon-cutting.
The museum itself will be open continuously to the public from 12:00pm on Saturday to 5:30pm Sunday. General admission is FREE on both days.
Sunday will be Family Day, with several events and activities for children and adults.
