Bonfante Gardens 2005 Schedule of Events
Bonfante Gardens Family Theme Park offers a variety of special events and entertainment that families can enjoy together during our 2005 season that ends Oct. 30 as well as the return of Holiday Lights. Bonfante Gardens Family Theme Park allows guests of all ages to learn and appreciate the beauty of horticulture in a family theme park setting. All events are FREE with park admission unless otherwise noted.
Mr. David's "End of Summer Celebration" Concert
Saturday, September 17
Bonfante Gardens hosts up-and-coming children's musician and entertainer Mr. David. Mr. David combines a bit of the old and a bit of the new in a unique collection of songs that take their inspiration from the classic children's music we all grew up with and loved so well. Performance will take place in the park’s beautiful Lakeside Amphitheatre at 1:00 p.m. and is free with park admission. Seats are limited on a first-come-first-serve basis. Boy Scout Camp Night

Experience camping in an exciting and safe environment that combines the beauty of magnificent gardens with the appeal and excitement of a traditional family theme park. Event includes camping facilities, admission to Bonfante Gardens, special Camp Night patch, a private docent tour and a Camp Night Showcase! Home, Garden and Culinary Show

Get tips and ideas from experts on home decorating, remodeling and landscaping during Bonfante Gardens’ Home, Garden and Culinary Show. Girl Scout Camp Night

Girl Scouts are invited to experience camping in a safe and exciting environment where the beauty of magnificent gardens and the excitement of a traditional family theme park are combined. This event includes camping facilities, admission to Bonfante Gardens, special Camp Night patch, a private docent tour and a Camp Night Showcase! Scarecrow Alley and Pumpkin Patch
October 15 – 30
More than thirty one-of-a-kind scarecrows designed, created and maintained by local organizations welcome visitors along Scarecrow Alley at Bonfante Gardens. Families can also select and purchase the perfect holiday pumpkin inside the park at a special price or play in a children’s hay maze. Bonfante Harvest Ride
Saturday, October 22
Bonfante Gardens Family Theme Park hosts the Bonfante Harvest Ride, a new cycling event designed for the entire family. While serious cyclists can participate in the 25, 50, or 100 mile ride through some of the most beautiful vineyards and farms in South County, families can participate in smaller rides including a 10-mile ride or a kid’s ride through the theme park! 2nd Annual Cheerleading Competition
Sunday, October 23
Sponsored by the United Spirit Association, the 2nd Annual Cheerleading Competition erupts in Bonfante Gardens Events Plaza when Youth Pop Warner, Junior High and All-Star cheerleading squads compete. TREE-ker Treat
Saturday, October 29 – Sunday, October 30
Children ages 12 and younger are encouraged to dress up and TREE-ker Treat their way through the park! Park docents will be distributing special holiday treats at each of the nine world-famous Circus Tress inside the park. Event is free with park admission and runs from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00pm. Holiday Lights 2005

Bonfante Gardens Holiday Lights™, a special engagement, returns for an expanded second season. Holiday Lights continues to be the only Bay Area theme park open for holiday season entertainment. Guests can enjoy a holiday experience that includes thousands of twinkling lights, a decadent holiday feast, holiday shopping, Santa’s Workshop, themed rides and more! New for 2005, Bonfante Gardens adds a new 40-foot by 80-foot ice rink that families can enjoy together. Holiday Lights runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. November 25-27, December 3-4, 10-11 and 17-23. 3rd Annual Rebekah Children’s Services Festival of Trees Dinner and Live Auction
Friday, Dec. 2
Bid on lavishly decorated, one-of-a-kind trees and other holiday items during the 3rd Annual Festival of Trees Dinner and Live Auction. Proceeds from the evening event benefit Rebekah Children's Services, a local, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the social, emotional and physical well-being of children and families.
