Bonfante Christmas Lights

For the first time ever, experience 12 nights of holiday cheer at Bonfante Gardens Holiday Lights, the only Bay Area theme park offering thousands of twinkling lights, a decadent feast complete with toy soldier serenades, Santa’s Workshop, community entertainment, themed rides and more! Bonfante Gardens Holiday Lights begins Thanksgiving weekend and continues weekends thereafter through December 19.

Bonfante Gardens will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with grand presentations of sparkling lights, Circus Trees dressed for the occasion, festive holiday décor and “North Pole Express Mailboxes” throughout the park where children can mail their hand-written letters directly to Santa. Sycamore Bridge will be trimmed from top to bottom with dazzling, awe-inspiring displays leading guests to the 20-foot tall illuminated Douglas Fir in the midst of Sugar Plum Plaza. Local schools will also add to the spirit of the holiday by decorating life-size snowmen and nutcrackers for everyone to enjoy.

Holiday Lights runs weekends from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. November 26-28, December 3-5, 10-12 and 17-19 and offers a variety of activities the entire family can enjoy together.

· Families can celebrate in Snowflake Palace with a traditional “All You Can Eat Holiday Feast” just like mom’s best holiday dinner, featuring mouth-watering roasted turkey, ham, stuffing and everyone’s favorite holiday trimmings. Toy soldiers will add a warm-hearted touch to the evening along with a stunning overhead show of lights and more than 20 lit Christmas trees. The evening won’t be complete without this treat!

· Guests can climb aboard magical, holiday-themed rides such as “The North Pole Express”, experience the enchantment of “South County Holiday Drive” and view the glistening night reflections on Coyote Lake and more!

· At Bonfante Gardens Holiday Lights, kids of all ages won’t want to miss a visit to Santa’s Workshop, a veritable winter wonderland where guests can gather around arts and crafts tables, create their own bit of holiday magic, get a picture taken with Santa and more surprises still in the works!

· Guests will enjoy a walk among Circus Trees, Sycamores and Redwoods while hearing sounds of nostalgic holiday music throughout the park including local choral groups, walking toy soldiers and much more!

“We’re offering families an enchanting and fun-filled way to celebrate the holidays and experience the gardens lit at night” says Barb Granter, vice president of Bonfante Gardens. “This event combines a wonderland of lights, a traditional holiday feast and will bring the spirit of the holiday season to this unique South Bay attraction,” adds Granter.
