Paramount’s Great America offers a variety of event and entertainment options
that moms, dads and kids of all ages can enjoy together during our 2004 season.
Paramount's Great America continues to draw on the diverse population in the Bay
Area to offer fun and excitement for people of all ages from all ethnic
backgrounds. All events are FREE with park admission unless otherwise noted.
Paramount’s Great America’s 2004 Opening Day – Saturday, March
27 Family fun and excitement await guests this season at Paramount’s
Great America as the park becomes California’s only theme park with a water park
inside! Crocodile Dundee’s Boomerang Bay™ is a wet and watery Australian
adventure that is fun for the entire family. Get ready to get soaked on 11 new
water slides, climb and explore a giant water-powered playhouse and bounce and
play in a new kiddy splash area. Crocodile Dundees’s Boomerang Bay is free with

Paramount’s Great America Music Festival – Saturdays, April 3 &
17 Elementary through high school students showcase their talent in band,
orchestra and choir in one of Paramount’s Great America’s professional theaters
and receive constructive feedback from a panel of professional musicians.

Synopsys Science Fair Awards – Sunday, April 4 Grades 6-8 (1:15
p.m.), Grades 9-12 (3 p.m.) Cheer on local junior high and high school
students and learn what experiments and projects are “making the grade” in
science during the Synopsys Championship Awards. Awards ceremonies will be held
in the Paramount Theatre. This annual event recognizes students for their

Dance Days Festival – Saturdays and Sundays, April 24-25, May
1-2 Dancers from throughout Northern California showcase their creative
routines and present their talents in a non-competitive environment on stage at
Paramount's Great America’s Showtime Theater. Dance companies and schools are

Warm Up Walk for AIDS – Sunday, April 25 Put on your walking shoes
and support the Santa Clara County AIDS Coalition. The walk begins at 8 a.m. on
a course that leads participants around Paramount’s Great America. Participants
raising $40 will receive a free ticket to Paramount’s Great America to be used
the same day. Proceeds benefit Walk for AIDS Silicon Valley, which takes place

Physics, Science and Math Days – Fridays, April 30, May 7,
14 Paramount's Great America continues to offer the only exclusive
Physics, Science & Math Days at any theme park in California. Students and
teachers from throughout California and the western United States receive
hands-on learning that bring classroom concepts to life in the park! Elementary,
middle and high school students get to experience firsthand: potential and
kinetic energy and the science of "G" forces. Educator-designed support

Courageous Kids Day – Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9 Paramount’s Great
America salutes kids with cancer as part of the 15th Annual Courageous Kids Day.
In partnership with the American Cancer Society, this is a special day for
mothers whose kids are battling cancer to take a “day off from cancer” and spend
time together at Northern California’s favorite theme park. For more information

National Tourism Week Luncheon – Tuesday, May 11 The Santa Clara
Convention and Visitors Bureau celebrates National Tourism Week at Paramount’s
Great America. Featured speakers include Terri Taylor-Solorio, executive
director of the California Travel Industry Association, and Rod Rankin, senior
vice president and general manager of Paramount Parks West Coast Operations.
Registration begins at 11:30, lunch and presentations at noon. Program will be
followed by a private tour of the all-new Crocodile Dundee’s Boomerang Bay™, the

Performing Arts Day – Friday, May 14 Students interested in onstage
and backstage theater work get a chance to learn from industry professionals.
Those interested can attend workshops, which include; Acting Improvisation,
Dance Movement, Vocal classes, Auditions 101, Special Effects and Make-up,
Technical Theater and Career Building. All workshops are designed to help

Spring Celebration – Saturday, May 15 Contemporary Christian
artists Third Day, Toby Mac, Warren Barfield, Pillar and Supertones perform live

Home School Day – Friday, May 21 Bring the kids for a day of fun
where parents and students will learn about home schooling techniques and trends
designed for elementary through college students during this daylong event at

discussing issues such as teaching language arts without textbooks, college

Young Heroes Graduation – Saturday, May 22 Paramount's Great
America hosts the annual City Year Young Heroes Graduation Ceremony, recognizing
youth of San Jose/Silicon Valley for five months of dedicated service to the
community. City Year is a national organization dedicated to “tapping the civic
